Philip Baker Hall Joins Popper's Penguins
13 Oct 2010

By Tommy Pihl (JCO Editor-In-Chief)

We have got casting news from "Mr. Popper's Penguins". Philip Baker Hall (Magnolia) has joined 20th Century Fox's family comedy. Hall will play Franklin, a deep-pocketed, no-nonsense and hard-hitting investor who agrees to finance Tommy Popper's (Jim Carrey) development schemes.

It will be Hall's third movie with Jim Carrey. He had the small part as Network Executive in "The Truman Show" and in "Bruce Almighty" he played the TV station manager.

Also signing on is Andrew Stewart-Jones, the doorman who threatens to report Mr. Popper's menagerie to building management.
