Warner Bros. gets smart in Spyville
16 Nov 1998 The rumor mill keeps on working as The Hollywood Reporter states that Warner Bros. is in final talks to acquire "Spyville", an adaptation to the big screen of the '60s TV comedy "Get Smart", which is intended to star Jim Carrey in the lead role.
The script was written by Nick Marine and is said to sell at a low to mid-six figure. "Get Smart" originally starred Don Adams as the thoroughly incompetent Agent 86 and Barbara Feldon as his partner, Agent 99.
According to the same source, Carrey has not committed to the project yet.
