Well, I bought it. Possibly the first person in the supermarket today who did. The lady at the 'Entertainment Desk' just uttered "Is this a new release? I can't find it anywhere in the cupboard!".

Anyway, I have to say it was much funnier the second time round!
When I saw it at the cinema I liked it, but was not overly incapacitated with laughing too much. This time though it was much better. But thinking back it took a few viewings of Bruce Almighty before I really loved it.
I guess you pick up on things more you see it, and you catch little expressions and lines you missed before.

The scene where he's trying to pee in the jar and the woman is watching, then she's says "I've been off the pipe for two years. Thank you Jesus!" (with her little gesticulation!), I had to actually pause the disc because I was laughing so hard.
And I can't even remember that bit from before.
Loved the extras too of course. But that's already been covered here.

I finally got my copy yesterday woowho. It was great to see it again, I liked the deleted scenes but I'm glad they were deleted, as I thought they wouldnt have worked in the film, especially the toy shop scene, to me that didnt work at all ....he was just looked too old a frial for it so be funny. I was a bit disapointed with comentary, more talk about the film and less about aural sex would have been good. Jim leaping on Tea with that kiss...now that was funny. !!

I thought it was funny, but it was way too long to be included. Plus perhaps it didn't fit with the themes of the other robberies...trishroberts wrote:I liked the deleted scenes but I'm glad they were deleted, as I thought they wouldnt have worked in the film, especially the toy shop scene, to me that didnt work at all ....he was just looked too old a frial for it so be funny.

Luv the way the guys on the commentary mention how much they loved working at Jim's house during the rewrites, because Jim has a chef and the lunches at his house were always 'awesome'! What is it about guys and food that makes them have to mention that?? As they say, the way to a mans heart...
Anyway, I thought I heard somewhere that Jim doesnt really eat what his chef prepares for his guests. He prefers really simple food..hot dogs etc.
..off topic I know, but what does Jim like to eat anyway? Or more interestingly, what cant he stomach??
