Kick-Ass 2 !!

So, there has been some screenings for Kick-Ass 2 : Two lucky basterds state (imdb, blu-ray.com) that Jim Carrey his screentime is very limited. He has two great scenes (trailer) but further ... not that much on his hands.

If that's true, that's different than the comic. Also, the trailers make you believe he's a huge part of the movie. I'm curious how much it will actually be.

If that's true... I hope Mark understands how unfair it is to say what he initially said about Jim choice not to promote the movie, especially when they are using his image to advertise to the fullest.

A friend of me saw Kick-Ass 2 (press screening, Belgium) and is very negative about it, as a fan of the first one. Story is a total mess, there is no focus on the right characters and a lot of the action and dialogues are dull (not the good way) and pointless. Kick-Ass 2 lost all the good things that made the original. Too many characters that have nothing to do. The director gets a lot of negative words.

He confirmed : Jim Carrey is around for only 10 minutes or so ... His performance is fun, but there's not much else because of the little screentime and poor writing.

It's clear that Cloe (Hit Girl) isn't happy with what he did. For me, I don't care any longer. I respect his choice, but I don't think it's a smart move, carreer-wise. And it was a bit dull also. But that's that.

Jim Carrey's appearance can not be long when he just was on the set for 10 days. The rest filmed almost 3 months including the re-shootings.

Great to see so much media the movie has got so far. Lots of merchandise, I have not seen many movies with so big a list of items to buy.

This is going to be good.
