Yeah I can relate to that. My mother was a worrier. Still is! If I wasn't home exactly when I said I was going to be, I was obviously dead in a ditch!

Although, now that I have my own child, I can understand a parent's concerns, even if they are a little paranoid and irrational at times.

Yeah, my son is so different to me when I was a child. I liked to play indoors, but I was an outdoor kid. Up trees. In rivers. On my bike or skateboard. I liked computer games too. My son, however is a tech kid. I try to encourage him out and to do alternative things, but he spends much of his time in front of a screen of some sort. There are now, on average, 3 devices per person. So, phone, ipod, laptop for example. It's a generational thing. I like a quote from Jacque Fresco - (paraphrasing) "to try and force children to live like you did, is to straight-jacket the upcoming generation".

Kids are vulnerable, they need guidance, protection, but I also find kids to be extremely resilient and clever. They adapt, and often times better than we do. The gulf between my son and my Grandmother, for example, is huge when it comes to modern technology. My grandmother almost can't adapt to modern life and how quick the pace is, but it is a breeze to my son.

Yeah there is not a lot of patience for people left behind. I must admit I almost pulled my hair out just trying to teach my gran how to use facebook. Something that is second nature to most people now! She is getting there, slowly but surely. One day that will be me, trying to figure out how to use the teleporter...I'll end up beaming myself into space...

I just looked up the meaning of teleport the dictionary it's a regional telecommunications Network that provides access To communications
Satellite and other long distance media telecommunication hub

that's what we're doing right now another explanation of teleport on the internet

what is the theoretical transfer of matter or energy from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them

so yeah we can teleport cuz we are doing it with our phones Wi-Fi internet we can even do it further with our minds and sleep maybe subconsciously maybe consciously got to look into it more

Haha teleport, yeah I guess!

I meant transporter - the one from star trek? I'm sure it's coming soon, scientists have been successful transporting photons from earth into orbit!

Haha, yeah I think the gulls would devour anything you are trying to send! Feisty creatures. :D

Not sure if a pigeon would work if we are trying to transport people around the place. Unless someone is tied to a flock of pigeons...? :D

Aberdeen is the seagull capital of the world. The nasty wee buggers will literally nick food out of your hands as you are walking along.... .......but they are a protected species now so you can't hurt them.....
meet Sammy...he's not scary though, he just likes crisps....

Haha! That's amazing! So funny. Although god knows what harm those doritos are doing to the gulls insides!?

I like Gulls. Bold and brash. They've worked us out pretty well. They reflect our lifestyle, no longer relying on actually going out to sea to eat fish, they eat our junk food litter instead!

The townsfolk of Aberdeen started up a tab behind the counter to pay for his daily packet of crisps. He was also rather partial to pickled onion Monster Munch as i recall.

Oh wow, just got the shock of my life. I tweeted my book to Jim and when I got up this morning I noticed he had liked my tweet! I froze for a moment, thinking I had finally reached him. I checked the profile which is almost identical to Jim's, but the name was slightly different. It wasn't the 'official Jim'.

Oh well. :(

Why would someone pose as Jim, recreate his profile, and retweet everything the real Jim posts? How does this person get away with that? :?
