Dick and Jane pushed back to December!

Sony is making a change in its own summer lineup, shifting the comedy remake "Fun With Dick and Jane," starring Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni, to Dec. 21 from June 25.

"We were rushing to make the June 24 date," Sony vice chairman Jeff Blake said. "We felt our next best stop is the Christmas holiday, given how well broad comedies have performed recently over that period."

Most recently, the Dec. 22 release "Meet the Fockers" collected $70.5 million during its first five days, on the way to a $265.3 million (and counting) domestic gross.

On its new date, "Dick and Jane" will now go head-to-head with Universal's "The Producers" and Warner Bros. Pictures' "Rumor Has It," the Jennifer Aniston film that takes its inspiration from "The Graduate."

As much as I would like to see it sooner, I believe the change is a good
idea. But we shall see next Dec.

i guess if they need more time to finish the movie... then they need to move the date back... i mean you cant exactly release an unfinished movie.... but yeah it will suck to have to wait until december... i mean i had to wait until december last year for lemony snicket because i found out about that movie like christmas 2003.... this kind of sucks how his movies are like a year apart.... but oh well... it will be worth the wait

dude excuse my language but that by far sucks the most major hardcore A** ever. that is the worst news in thehistory of Carrey besides him not doing all those movies that were cancelled *DA DA* and all that jazz

well think about it this way... by the time the movie comes out you will be so excited for it, that even if it sucks you will still think its amazing because you have been waiting so long for it...... or maybe not... thats just my way of thinking.... but yeah december does suck...

I hate late December release dates. With all of the holiday hoopla, I never have time to see a film until after Christmas at the very earliest.

yeah it really stinks when movies are pushes back to december dates...i feel like they just make no money because everyone is so swept up in christmas that no one goes to the movies and so unless it is a really good movie that it makes no money.... i like to see his movies do well but i dont want this one to fail badly..... Lemony Snicket's didnt do so hot in the box office and it was a december release..... so i just dont like this one bit

"Fun With Dick and Jane" was supposed to come out The day of my birthday, June 25, It was supposed to be a great birthday present from Jim Carrey!.. haha!.. but now im sad.. i have to wait LONGER and i dont get a birthday present.... "tear"
