Ace Ventura extra scenes

Hello! I saw on the imdb that there are extra scenes made for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. These scenes were shown at Networks Tv (if it excists in the US). Here are the details of the scenes: <blockquote>Quote:<hr> Network TV version features footage not shown on the video version, including: A scene in a bar in Ray Finkle's hometown; Ace gets up on stage with the band Cannibal Corpse during the concert and sings; Ace attempts to extract information crucial to locating the bar from a distraught gas station attendant. Ace calls Emilio from the mental hospital and an elderly resident immitates him. Ace takes Melissa home after they leave the mental hospital and she kisses him goodnight. Ace visits his hippie friend again and tries find out a connection between Einhorn and Finkle looking at their credit report. Also, Ace phones Emilio from the Mental Hospital to tell him about Finkle and Einhorn. <hr></blockquote> Is there any way to get these scenes on tape or through another medium? ya know, when i got my ace vhs...it said "includes unseen footage"...but I don't think it was the stuff you just described...hmmm..interesting...

These scenes you described were indeed shown on network television in in the USA on network NBC. They replaced "questionable" scenes from the original film. About 15 minutes worth, in fact. So, on a whim I taped the thing and was pleasantly surprised. As a result, I combined the NBC footage with my purchased copy of AVPD and ended up with what could be called a "Director's Cut." Whoooo! BCDavis, that would be very cool of you! (y) But don't we have a problem here? Because as I live in Holland, in Europe we use the PAL videosystem. And in US they use NTSC as far as I know. Hello! I'm from Germany, I know your problem. - There are some video recorders that can also show NTSC videos. Take a look at the manual of your video recorder, maybe it has that function?

Er... I'm a girl.^^ Hmm... I think my video recorder can play NTSC videos, but I never tried. It sounds so complicated in the manual. Perhaps I'll try it next week.

To convert the tape you need a special kind of VCR like Samsung's World Wide Video Conversion System. The common VCRs generally decode the NTSC, but they don't actually convert it into PAL, so if you try to dub it to another (PAL) player you'll get an awfully distorted image. The solution is finding a person who has a VCR capable of converting to PAL or take the tape to a professional video shop and have it converted.
