I'm trying to decide if I'll go to one of the THREE Lutheran Churches on the road to my place.

I'm in a chirpy mood, but waaaaay too tired. Went to bed at 1am and then got up at 5.45am

because I promised my Mum I'd go with her to her first Car Boot Sale as a trader. Only for it to be called off because it's chucking it down with rain.

Couldn't go back to bed so now I'm hovering around the house in a dazed kinda state. Still feeling the effects of the wine last night............

Well, my mood has darkened a bit from this morning. An early exit from Jim Carrey Land tonight was sparked by a phone call from my Mum saying my remaining Grandad had been rushed to hospital with severe breathing difficulties. It looks like things are pretty bad and it's just a matter of time.....

He'll be 89 on Tuesday and lives in a nursing home. If I'm honest there are a mixture of emotions right now. He was the one grandparent I did more with as a child....he was so active and yet for the past 8 or 9 years he's been just a shell. He's not been 'my grandad' for years. I don't know whether I'm sad cause he's dying, or whether I'm glad it's a release.....

You know I work with the bereaved at a local hospice. I deal with death and the prospect of death quite matter-of-factly. But my mind is swimming with memories of him tonight. Good stuff from when I was young. Which I think is the best way to go....

i know that's how i got through it when i lost my grandpa........

Yep, you're right. He was a real joy in my life for many years. I'll try and stick with that.

I feel like I've had a day that's lasted a week....I'm gonna try and get some sleep. If that's possible. Ironically tomorrow should be my day off work, but I've agreed to go in. Bugger. Lol.

I remember when my grampa passed away - we were very close....it's those wonderful memories that keep the sun shining...sending you some of that energy. Big huggles help too.

hey Niobe.......how are you??..................i got bad news myself today.......my uncle died unexpectedly this morning.........he had a massive stroke so it was all rather sudden.............
any wine left in that box of yours??........if so, have one for me ...

Today I am a bit nervous about my daughter cause she went to th e Dr. and he is afraid she might have a slight health problem
