The only thing my little brain can muster up as an answer to this riddle is that he lived at a power plant type place, and he turned off the street lights not a good idea for a night that's so dark and stormy.

Wait, if he never had any visitors, how did his supplies get delivered??

Thats a heart touched riddle. Its a bit like trying to define infinity. How poor is poverty, how rich is affluent? What is too thin or too fat? Eye of the beholder. Pride is a terrible human flaw, it enables you to live in delusions of the human kind. Whats your weakness? Aside from fast food... cigarettes and movies, I"m still trying to remove all my defects (with Gods help of course) Kill fast food, Kill tobacco and Kill Hollywood (the last one was in reference to Kill them with laughter) as we all know 'Thou shall not kill" is not too complicated to understand. That's why we have ten fingers and toes so we don't loose count of the Ten commandments. We can complicate the hell out of religion. Satan's playground.

OK, you're the closest so far. In that, you have to think about where he lives. Perhaps his supplies aren't handed over in person. Perhaps.

Yep, Vince turned the big light off that stormy night and ships were unable to see the rocks and their vessels sank!

Here's a quickie:

Their are three errers in this paragraph. Study
it carefully and see if you can find all of them.

 You asked for it:

A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender for a glass of water. The bartender reaches under the
bar and brings out a gun and aims it at the man. The man says thank you and leaves. What happened?

Ohh I got one! :D

A person finds a man hanging from the middle of a ceiling, and nothing else in the room but a puddle of water underneath his feet. How did he hang himself?
