We took my cat to the vet and got the bad news. She had severe fluid in her lungs. Either blood or water but they said she was in pain and there was nothing they could do but to put her to sleep.

My daughter is going to be devasted when she gets home from school.

I'm sorry about your cat Cotton, that's so sad.
My yellow labrador is 13 years old.
She has breast cancer, severe arthritis, and she is partially blind
from the tumor above her left eye. Unfortunately, if we decided to
take her to the vet for surgery she would probably die or be put to
sleep. I try to care for her as best as I know how; she is extremely
thin however, and I've treated her to lots of wholesome dog food and
bread. She seems to enjoy the extra attention lots. :)

My cat was so badly in pain she couldn't even stand up or meow. It all happened so quickly just 2 days ago she was acting fine. I have done nothing but cry all day today. She was 12 years old and we had her her whole life. She was like a family member. The docter told she might have had Feline leukemia And so now we have to get my other cat checked cause that is contagious.

I hope your other cat is okay...please keep us posted
the dr doesn't think she has it but they want to be safe. My cats aren't outdoor cats so there is a very slim chance cat died of that. They think it was from old age.
