I read in a magazine that is published in the Middle East. (it's in English).called Teen World.
an article about smiling and they pics of celebrities smiling and wt kind. Here wt they said about Jim's Smile:

Embarrassed Smile

: Embarrassment is a sign of shame and humiliation. An embarrassing smile reveals a sort of uneasiness or discomfort facing a particular situation or a person.

now i know that all of u agree with me that Jim's smile is one of the most beautiful & charming smile in the world. One of my fav scenes in the Truman show is when Truman says: And incase i don't c yah, good afternoon, good evening, & good night. After it he has got the biggest most beautiful smile on his face. it kills me every time i see it.[/img]

well, the mag is published from Lebanone and it got news and posters for stars from movies and music.

i think Jim's smile is sometimes naughty, sometimes innocent, sometimes mysterious & sometimes to hide his depression & sadness.

It looks like a mis-translation. They should correct it to 'self-concious' or something. How about 'cute' ?

Why would anyone be beaming out of 'embarrassment' ?

I keep thinking about why I am so attracted to him...is it his smile-is it his talent-is it his looks..what is it about him that drives me crazy?

In that pic it's the standard 'zany bloke' smile..........it's basically what's expected of him.........
His eyes aren't smiling in it so it's not a heartfelt smile...........so basically the magazine is speaking crap because there's little or no emotion in it.............It has to be one caught off guard to be meaningful........

I don't mind him 'hiding' behind a smile. It's cute and way more gorgeous than, say, staring or pretending.

Sorry but that smile on that picture sucks..I am sure he was acting-

There is to many speculation here about Jim..how do we know he was hiding something?

I am sure they didn't let Jim chose the picture that would be on the cover or in the article-

But I am guessing he was promoting his film at that time-

I don't think I've ever seen a real smile from Jim..I mean when he is interviewing is he acting?

I saw him on one interview with Kelly Ripa and Regis-he brought them a plant that was from their studio but that was ages ago-

He's a real charmer-

ya, his smile just makes my day.

I sometimes find it a little poignant, if anything, that he goes to that length to be nice to people .....though i know a wisecrack is not far behind :lol
